About Me

I am a member of SPCP, The Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals.

My name is Debi Marion and I am Permanent Makeup Artist, I was born in the San Francisco Bay Area in California. When I was 11 years old, I won a local contest, that placed me in a National Art Academy contest as a contender for an art Scholarship. I have been an artist for most of my life.

At 23,  I began working as a surgical assistant for medical doctors in the field of Dermatology, and worked in this medical field for 30 years. At 25 I began to china paint and make porcelain dolls as a hobby at first, then a business. As my artistic talent developed, I began to travel three to four days a week around the country and to England displaying my art. I became a well-published  artist in the 70’s and 80’s, and began teaching china painting and doll making classes in both the adult school system and for doll shops.

One of my many talents that I bring to the world of TATTOO ART is the ability to paint and my ability of mixing and blending colors. While china painting and tattooing seem worlds apart, they actually are similar in many ways. A palette is needed to create in both worlds. My china painted French dolls, they needed fine hairline stroked eyebrows and fine-lined eyeliner, and beautiful pouty lips, to give them the look of realism. I usually give my clients strokes with a combination of many needles from my four flats to #3 slope needle for eyebrows, or eye liner #5 slope needle for a beautiful fine eyeliner, Lash Enhancement. I also practice these same strokes using NEEDLING blades, but I prefer my Nouveau German machine.
